During the afternoon of this Friday, a group of individuals who were demonstrating in the center of Panguipulli, Los Ríos region, attacked a police station of Carabineros and damaged its structure.

Using different forceful elements an indeterminate number of people attacked the Fifth Police Station of the area, after an unauthorized march on the scene.

Men and women -apparently from a Mapuche community- They first went through the streets where they interrupted traffic and set up barricades.

After this, they went to the police station, where they launched different blunt objects to damage the institutional building.

The Carabineros confirmed that an official who was on duty suffered injuries of a mild nature and that so far no people have been detained.

Among the total damages, a police vehicle, glass and facade of the unit, in addition to scratched on its walls.
