An increase of 210,925 defaulters from March 2019 to the same date in 2020, registered the XXVIII Delinquent Debt Report prepared by the Universidad San Sebastián with data from Equifax and Mapcity.

“The figures reveal a growth higher than the trend observed in recent years, with a rate close to 5%. In the coming months, negative effects on employment could exacerbate difficulties paying that people are experiencing, and their ability to meet debt commitments, ”explained Gonzalo Edwards, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at U. San Sebastián.

On the other hand, the average default in March of this year reached $ 1,887,930, 4% more than in December 2019.
