A new epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health stated that 19,442 confirmed and suspected deaths by covid-19 in the country.

Specifically, it was reported on 14,499 confirmed deaths, while deaths without laboratory confirmation reach 4,943.

In turn, the document stated that the highest accumulated incidence rates per “100,000 inhabitants, according to laboratory-confirmed cases, are in the Magallanes region (7741.6), Metropolitan region (4127.6) and Arica and Parinacota region (4016.1)“.

In that sense, it was detailed that until November 5 588,269 cases of covid-19, of which 69,879 they would be contagions without laboratory confirmation.

The latter results in a rate of 3,023.2 infections per 100,000 inhabitants nationwide.

Deceased and new cases

This Saturday the Government, through the Ministry of Health (Minsal), delivered a new report on the spread of the coronavirus in Chile.

In the last 24 hours, 1,568 new cases and 49 deaths related to the pandemic.

Of the new infections, 1,026 are symptomatic and 519 are asymptomatic.

Since the covid-19 pandemic arrived in our country, total cases have reached 519,977. From them, 9,334 remain active.

In the health network throughout Chile there are currently 734 patients hospitalized for coronavirus, of which 584 are connected to mechanical ventilation and 100 have a critical diagnosis.

Finally, the Minsal commented that yesterday Friday they took 39,290 PCR tests (4,541,869 in total).
