In its latest edition, the epidemiological report of the DEIS of the Ministry of Health reported a total of 16,222 deaths from the covid-19 pandemic, adding confirmed cases (11,895) and suspected cases (4,327).
With this data, the fatality rate per 100 thousand inhabitants remains at 83.4 nationwide.
Also today, more than 2,000 infections and 45 deaths were reported, according to the latest Minsal report.
According to information from the Ministry of Health, the regions that accumulate the most deaths are the Metropolitan (11,505), Valparaíso (1,245), and Antofagasta (627).
Regarding the active cases, the DEIS indicates that the most complex situation is in the Magallanes region, where these dropped from 1,354 to 1,164 from September 8 to date, but it remains with the highest number nationwide.
It is followed by Puente Alto (581), Concepción (518) and Valparaíso (492).
Today there was also a new record of PCR tests in the country with more than 38 thousand notified tests, reaching a positivity of 5.61% nationwide.
