The Ministry of Health reported that new coronavirus infections reached 1,402 cases and that the deceased totaled 10 this Wednesday.
With this death toll, Chile borders the 16 thousand people killed as a result of Covid-19.
Of those affected by the virus, 1,052 correspond to symptomatic and 330 have no symptoms. In addition, 20 Positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
The total of cases, meanwhile, rose to 576,731 with 549,852 recovered and 10,594 active cases.
The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, reported that according to today’s Covid-19 report, “Five regions decrease their new cases in the last seven days and 3 regions in the last 14 days.”
The health authority also pointed out that “the positivity for the last week at the national level is 4.77 percent“.
Magallanes shows a decrease but is still the highest
Also, Paris said Magallanes Region continue to present a decrease of the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, but it is still the highest in the country.
Meanwhile, the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Antofagasta Tarapacá, Arica and Maule.
Hospitalized, ventilators and nursing homes
To the date, 638 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 469 are supported by mechanical ventilation and 50 are in critical health.
Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 305 fans available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 25,899 PCR tests, reaching a total of 5,877,562 tests analyzed nationwide to date.
The number of Health Residences available is 138 with 9,280 places. As of today, they have 5,373 users considering all regions of the country.
