The death of the soccer star and former World Champion with Argentina in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, Diego Armando Maradona, has brought repercussions both in his family and in his close circle.
And it is that not only the daughters of “10” have starred in dramatic moments after his sudden death, but also one of his nurses, who assured that she was forced to lie on alleged “vital checks” performed on the historic former Argentine footballer.
What did the nurse say?
Dahiana Gisela Madrid, a nurse who was taking care of Maradona after his surgery subdural hematoma, indicated, in the first instance and through a report, that he entered at around 09:20 to “check his vital signs” and that the former captain of “Celeste” “refused to do so,” according to Page 12 .
However, in a second statement, Madrid indicated that the company for which she worked “forced her to include in the report that it should be noted that that morning she had tried to control Maradona, when the reality is that let him rest“.
The aforementioned media revealed a list of the activities detailed by the nurse, which were carried out on the same day (Wednesday, November 25) that the former footballer broke down.
- “6.30: The watch is taken, patient rests”.
- “7.30: He is heard wandering inside his room diuresis + in a portable bathroom”.
- “8.30: Keep resting”
- “9.20: Refuses to take vital signs checks“.
- “10:45: I am informed that Dr. Cosachov (psychiatrist) is on the way with a psychologist. Said Dr. refers to waiting for the administration of medication, since it will modify it.”
- “11:55 AM: Dra. Cosachov modifies medication, prepares, delivers it, and enters the patient’s room with the psychologist Carlos (Díaz).” After several attempts to call, patient does not answer. When he left he commented that he does not wake up. Then his nephew Joni and secretary Maxi enter. The familiar calls out. ‘He is unconscious’“.
- “12.10: I quickly enter the room and verify that she does not have a pulse, I begin to perform basic CPR and I ask private security personnel to perform oxygen intake (mouth to mouth). I ask that they call the emergency room who arrives at home 12.17 hrs” .
After several resuscitation attempts, the former gymnastics technician and other teams could not resist and died as a result of a cardiorespiratory arrest in the San Andrés neighborhood, where he spent his last days.
