At 00:00 hours this Monday the CyberDay 2020, event of electronic commerce organized by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS) that will run until Wednesday, September 2 and that has the official participation of 568 sites selling.
CyberDay was originally scheduled for May this year, but had to be suspended due to the emergency caused by the coronavirus.
Commerce has been one of the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic and the aim is to “give it a boost” through online sales.
According to the CCS, this time “it is a different Cyber, marked by the contingency that the country is experiencing and focused on the needs of households, SMEs, sectors strongly hit by the pandemic such as tourism and culture , of companies of regions and of solidarity foundations ”.
Most of the official participants are from the areas of clothing, footwear and accessories (125), home (75), health and beauty (64), sports and outdoor (54), technology (39), and children (38) .
However, within hours of its start and as in previous versions, the users have already expressed some discontent by virtual lines, “inflated prices”, offers that ensure “they are not” and the collapse of some websites.
From the Sernac they confirmed BioBioChile who will carry out an exhaustive monitoring of the event.
“We will be pending claims and verifying that minimum floors are met, such as that the prices are properly informed; that they are the same at the beginning of the transaction as at the end; and that the dispatch information is clear ”, they detailed.
Likewise, from the Service they commented that they will check that the participating companies clearly inform the available stock, “that the advertising is true and that the computer supports work correctly”.
These are some of the problems that users have detected so far in social networks:
