Curicó Unido got off to an inspired start at the start of the 2021 National Championship and beat Deportes Melipilla 2-0 at the La Granja Stadium.
The cast of the Maule Region quickly sentenced the game thanks to two goals before 10 minutes.
First was Felipe Villagrán, who at six minutes served a corner kick to achieve an Olympic goal allowing the first celebration of the tournament.
Melipilla, who returned to play a Primera game after 13 years, felt the shaking and the torteros managed to increase the advantage with a score from the Argentine Adrián Sánchez, who took a shot from medium distance to violate the weak resistance of goalkeeper Nicolás Peranic and score 2-0.
Although the colts tried a reaction in the second half, Curicó dedicated himself to controlling the game and ended up adding his first three points.
In their next challenge, the tortero team will travel to La Serena to play against the local cast.
Melipilla, meanwhile, will receive Ñublense in a duel of newly promoted casts.
