The Gendarmería reported this morning of the death of Cupertino Andaur, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder and rape of the nine-year-old boy Víctor Zamorano Jones, which occurred in 1992.
Andaur, who was serving his sentence at Colina 1 Penitentiary, he was found dead at 8:35 a.m., in his bedroom.
“In this regard, it is reported that the inmate was found dead at the time of the release, in Tower 1, cell 26 of the prison.
