President Sebastián Piñera registered an approval of 7% in the latest Criteria poll, the lowest that the President has obtained in the entire series of measurements made by this poll.
In that sense, support for the President fell six points from the previous measurement.
For its part, the rejection of Piñera’s management increased by nine percentage points, reaching 87%.
Regarding the explanations for the results, Criteria pointed out that “it has been difficult for the government, in general, and the President, in particular, to understand the symbolic dimension of the conflict between citizens and the elite. This explains the tremendous presidential disengagement that the walking through Cachagua without a mask with the consequent rejection that it unleashed among a majority of citizens.
