The Portuguese forward of Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Real Madrid received this Sunday the awards for best player and team of the century (2001-2020), as well as Pep Guardiola for best coach, at the gala held at the Armani Hotel , at the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.

This traditional football gala, with the presence of the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, presented for the first time the awards of the century, to recognize the last 20 years. The award for the best player of 2020 was not for Cristiano this time but for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, also winner of FIFA’s ‘The Best’.

Cristiano took that special award, as did Real Madrid and Pep Guardiola in the team and coach category.

Meanwhile, in the 2020 awards, Bayern coach Hans-Dieter Flick received the best coach. In the same way, the German team, champion of the Champions League, the European Super Cup and everything in their country, was chosen team of the year for a Globe Soccer that paid tribute to Diego Armando Maradona and Paolo Rossi, recently deceased.
