The Chilean tennis player Christian garin, (22nd ATP, finally decided not to be part of the Masters 1,000 of Paris-Bercy, the last tournament of this category in this season to be played from November 2 to 8.

According to the specialized portal Séptimo Game, the first national racket was withdrawn from the competition on hard court in the French capital without disclosing the reasons for its absence.

Note that the ‘Tank’ has just reached the round of 16 of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna, in Austria, a contest where he defeated the Swiss in the premiere Wawrinka Apartment (19th) and then fell to the local Dominic Thiem (3rd).

After a promising start to the year, with two ATP titles (in Córdoba and Rio de Janeiro), Garin was low on the restart after the pandemic. Only the semifinal reached in the tournament in Hamburg, Germany stood out.

It is speculated that the irregular results in the final stretch of the year and the lack of a coach, after ending his relationship with Andrés Schneiter, were key to deciding not to participate in Paris-Bercy.

This Masters on French soil was the last tournament that the Chilean would play on this calendar, thus putting an early end to his 2020 season.
