The political crisis in Peru worsens after 13 of the 18 ministers that make up the recent cabinet of the government of Manuel Merino will resign in the last hours after the death of two protesters in Lima became known.
This adds to the request of the president of the Congress of Peru, Luis Valdez, that Merino leaves the presidency of Peru, a situation that will be defined this day after the Board of Spokespersons of Congress meets, who will evaluate the removal of the president, a situation that could be reversed with a possible resignation of Merino.

– Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, Hilda Sandoval Cornejo
– Minister of Education, Fernando D’Alessio
– Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations, Patricia Teullet

The resignation of the secretaries of state goes hand in hand with the resignation of 12 vice ministers that goes in the same line of the ministers.
Peruvian Prime Minister: “If the President leaves, I will go with him”
The Prime Minister of Peru, Ántero Flores-Aráoz, affirmed that he will remain in office because of “loyalty” to President Manuel Merino: “If the president leaves, of course I will go with him, but He has my loyalty and I can’t leave him alone“.

Flores-Aráoz reported that hours before he was with Merino reviewing “the entire situation of violence that was taking place in the streets” and added that they resolved to “do an investigation very deep “because there was” information that was not corroborated and that was contradictory “regarding the serious incidents that occurred in the protest march against the Government.
