The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, expressed his special concern for the regions of Magallanes, Aysén, Los Lagos and La Araucanía, although he highlighted the situation in the rest of the regions.
“Despite the decrease in the number of examinations in recent days, the country continues to show a downward trend, 13 of the 16 regions decreased their new cases in the last 7 days and 8 in the last 14. The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level decreases by 16 percent in the last seven days and 6 percent in the last 14 days, “he highlighted.
Mayors questioning
For his part, the mayor of Renca, Claudio castro (Former DC), the only commune in the urban radius of the Metropolitan Region that remains in confinement, was dissatisfied with this situation because – as he explained – “in practice the quarantine, today, as a sanitary measure, you are not meeting your goal because you are not reducing mobility“.
