This Monday, the existence of a covid-19 outbreak was confirmed inside the Los Angeles Hospital, in the Bío Bío region.
The number of cases increased from one day to the next, and during this day it was indicated that there are 68 confirmed cases and 267 close contacts between staff, patients and families, reported the seremi of Health, Héctor Muñoz.
Thus, there are 38 officials infected, 14 patients and 16 relatives.
In this way, the number of people involved would reach 335.
The authority also indicated that a series of demands were made to the healthcare center and that if they are not met, an investigation will be initiated to determine the reasons for the number of infections.
The outbreak was announced yesterday by the delegate of the Health Ministry in the area, Cristóbal Vidal, who indicated that it is not the first registered in the hospital.
