Added that “The Chilean Army, on the 60 PCR samples analyzed in Punta Arenas from people from O’Higgins Base who arrived in the regional capital during the weekend, 36 people, between civilians and military have tested positive for coronavirus, who are conducting isolation in sanitary residences in Punta Arenas ”.
The seremi Eduardo Castillo also reported that, according to the Epivigila System, 75 new cases were reported in the Magallanes region this Monday, thus a total of 16,130 positive cases have been registered to date, reporting the death of a 91-year-old woman, thus reaching 225 deaths after the arrival of the pandemic in the area.

The percentage of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 corresponds to 23% of the total hospitalized in the region.
