The Ministry of Health confirmed that 6,242 new cases were registered in the last 24 hours documented cases of contagion by coronavirus, which bring the total number to 911,469 people since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in Chile.
The number of deaths from this disease during the last day was 172, bringing the total number of fatalities from Covid-19 to 21,988.
It was also reported that the number of active cases is 34,228, while those recovered are 854,827.
The balance of the Minsal also indicates that there is 2,152 ICU patients, of which 1,881 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 193 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
Meanwhile, in the last day, 70,195 PCR tests were notified, with a positivity of 8.7 percent nationwide.
