The Ministry of Health (Minsal) delivered a new report on the situation of the coronavirus in the country until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, in which 2,660 new cases were recorded, of which 2,152 are symptomatic and 508 asymptomatic.

Specifically, this Wednesday’s report sets a new record for daily cases, far exceeding the 1,658 record in the balance of yesterday.

According to what was reported by the Minister of Health, Jaime Mañalich, to date there are 14,865 “recovered” and 19,170 active cases, so that the total number of cases reaches 34,381 since the start of the pandemic.

“We are having demand in various areas of the country and we are making an additional effort to ensure that the country’s hospital network continues to be able to care for all those who need it,” he said.

Meanwhile, 12 new dead, the second highest daily record in Chile for the second consecutive day, although it did not specify this time where the deceased came from.
