This Saturday the Ministry of Health (Minsal) delivered a new balance on the spread of coronavirus in the country, in the voice of the minister of the branch, Enrique Paris; and the undersecretary Paula Daza.
The authorities reported that in the last 24 hours they confirmed 1,824 new cases.
Of these, 1,200 are symptomatic and 581 are asymptomatic.
The total number of infections in the country amounts to 479,595, of which 14,269 remain active.
Undersecretary Daza explained that 52 people lost their lives. The number of accumulated deaths is 13,272.
In parallel, 452,054 patients recovered from covid-19.
The authorities also commented that at the country level there are 817 hospitalized for health reasons associated with the pandemic. From them, 609 remain on mechanical ventilation.
Of these patients, 95 are classified in critical condition.
Regarding the taking of exams, in the last 24 hours they were applied 36,022 PCR tests (3,654,041 in total).
Finally, as indicated by the Ministry of Health, there are 10,392 total places in 149 healthcare residences. 5,553 users are using the rooms.
