After developing citizen primaries in the commune of Santiago during the day on Sunday, the candidate for the PC and current councilor, Irací Hassler, was elected with 1,444 votes.
Cynthia Vivallo from the Liberal Party, Gustavo Pacheco from the Popular Dignity Movement and José Osorio from the Chilean Association of Patrimonial Zones and Neighborhoods also competed in the instance.
Thus, Hassler will represent the conglomerate “Constituent Mayor’s Office for Santiago”In the next municipal elections in April 2021 and the current communal chief will fight for the position Felipe Alessandri.
The president of the Elections Qualifying Tribunal for the Constituent Mayor’s Office for Santiago, Fernando Muñoz, provided details regarding citizen participation during the primaries, where the young people from 16 years of age.
The elected candidate, Irací Hassler, highlighted the opportunity to build a project from the social base in the commune of Santiago.
The mayor of Recoleta and the PC’s presidential letter, Daniel Jadue -who accompanied Hassler to vote Sunday morning in the Franklin neighborhood-, highlighted the proposals promoted by the community.
In second place was José Osorio, with 489 votes; followed by Gustavo Pacheco, with 454 votes and in fourth place Cynthia Vivallo, with 207 votes.
