This morning, the Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, reported on the balance of people who are diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country.
In this regard, the authority stated that until 9:00 p.m. yesterday, that is, in the last 24 hours, 516 new cases, which gives a total of 11,812 cases in Chile.
Furthermore, 5,804 people have recovered. In other words, 49% of the total of those diagnosed have recovered and are already in a stage of not transmitting.
Undersecretary Daza also regretted the death of 8 people, 7 belonging to the Metropolitan Region and 1 from the Los Lagos Region. 5 of them, he indicated, received proportional treatment.
In total, 168 people have died from coronaviruses in the country since the start of the pandemic.
As for hospitalized patients, informed the undersecretary of Healthcare Networks, Arturo Zúñiga, there are 411 people in the intensive care unit. Of those, 316 are mechanically ventilated and 75 are in critical condition.
