This Thursday the Ministry of Health delivered a new balance on the advance of COVID-19 in the country, reporting 1,639 new cases, of which 1,139 correspond to symptomatic people and 452 to people who do not have symptoms. In addition, 48 Positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 428,669. Of this total, 15,532 patients are in the active stage of the virus. The recovered cases are 401,356.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 79 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deceased amounts to 11,781 in the country.

Likewise, 951 people are currently hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU), of which 697 are on mechanical ventilation support and 129 are in critical health. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 484 ventilators available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and the diagnostic capacity, this Wednesday the results of 28,313 PCR tests were reported, reaching a total of 2,719,687 tests analyzed nationwide to date.
