Thus, there are already 598,394 total cases registered in the country, 14,275 of them are known “active”, that is, with the capacity to infect.
The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, indicated that they have “great concern about the increase in cases, in the Metropolitan region in the last 14 days reached a 39% increase. If we continue to have crowds, not respecting the curfew with clandestine parties, if the youth do not worry about protecting their elderly, the cases will continue to increase “

Currently, there are 700 ICU patients, 546 of them on ventilation and 64 in critical condition. There are 275 ventilators available in the integrated health network.

Maule region scores record of infections

“The vaccine opens a light of hope, but there is still a long way to go,” said Paris, detailing that yesterday 2,936 health officials were vaccinated in the Metropolitan region, 1,279 in Bío Bío, 710 in Araucanía and 165 in Magallanes.
