Carabineros reported this Saturday that after multiple investigations, the whereabouts of two conscript soldiers were found. escaped from Las Bandurrias training camp, in the Coyhaique Alto sector, after denouncing mistreatment by an official.
As detailed by the police, both young men were found, with the support of family members, in the Foitzick sector and the records were delivered to the Prosecutor’s Office.

The disappearance of the conscripts was announced on Friday through a statement from the IV Army Division, where it was specified that both belong to the staff of Motorized Detachment No. 14 Aysén.
In the document they also reported that it was ordered to instruct a summary administrative investigation to determine if there was any breach of the operating protocols and control within the unit, as well as eventual individual responsibilities.
Lieutenant Colonel Rodrigo Álvarez detailed in Radio Santa Maria that the soldiers are in good health, in the company of their families and that they were graduates of the Military Service.
Regarding the complaint of mistreatment, he specified that “we have shown that there is some background that allows us to confirm this possibility that there was mistreatment against the soldiers by a man from the institution and it is necessary to communicate that this is not acceptable in the Army, so immediate withdrawal has been determined of that official of the institution ”.
Although he did not identify the superior, since it is a matter of investigation, but stressed that “we are not going to accept any treatment other than that which corresponds to the soldiers and that is why the immediate discharge has been determined.”
