The general secretary of the Proletarian Action Communist Party and former presidential candidate, former professor Eduardo Artés, confirmed the presentation of the faces of the Marxist-Leninist community to the elections of candidates for the Constituent Convention that will draft a new Magna Carta for the country.

“We are going to fight in the street and everywhere so that the ties that the Constituent Convention has is broken and that it gets as close as possible to a Constituent Assembly,” Artés told Radio Biobío.

The constituent elections would not only have as candidates members of the PC (AP), the Revolutionary Left Movement (MIR) also decreed it and pointed out that, although the political sphere did not invite them to be part of the constitutional agreements, they will still say present at the elections.

“We are going to get involved even if they don’t invite us because our taxes pay them their salary. So the legitimate right we have, even if they don’t want us, is to join the convention,” added Demetrio Hernández, MIR secretary general, to the radial medium.

Eduardo Artés also confirmed that both the PC (AP) and the MIR are open to a possible candidacy for the next presidential elections.
