The Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) reported this Sunday to have suffered a cybersecurity breach on their platforms.

Through a statement, the CMF reported that the event occurred on March 12, when the institution “was affected by a cybersecurity incident caused by vulnerabilities in the email platform. Microsoft Exchange“.

Without giving further details, they reported that after the vulnerability was identified, “the cybersecurity protocols and the Containment measures willing to maintain the continuity of services ”.

The CMF also reported that the vulnerability was detected at an early stage, which allowed “the containment of the incident in a controlled way“.

Along with this, they reported that work is being done to determine what was the scope of the violation.
