Colo Colo drew 0-0 against Unión La Calera during his visit to the “Nicolás Chahuán” Stadium and remained full of doubts for the clash next Tuesday against Peñarol in its re-release for the Copa Libertadores.
He “Cacique” remained in the fourteenth position of the National Championship, with just nine points, already only five units from the bottom, Deportes La Serena.
The game had few emotions and in the first time there were only clear approaches of the cast “cement”, that through Christian Vilches (27 ‘and 35’) and Nicolás Stefanelli (31 ‘) he had interesting possibilities to go ahead.
In the second half and with modifications, such as Pablo Mouche’s by Leonardo Valencia, the “popular” squad tried to generate something on the offensive, although it was only found as a great option with a shot by the youthful Bryan Soto who was saved in a great way by goalkeeper Alexis Martín Arias.
On the other side, the locals were able to win the match in the final with a powerful left-footer from side Erick Wiemberg who crashed into Miguel Pinto’s crossbar, being the last important chance of engagement.
Now, Gualberto Jara’s team will play this Tuesday against the “carboneros” with the need to win, to continue with certain possibilities of advancing to the round of 16.
La Calera, meanwhile, who was second with 21 points, will just face the September 24 to Deportes Iquique at the Tierra de Campeones Stadium.
