Cobresal reported during the night of this Saturday, two days after the duel against the University of Chile in El Salvador, that a team member is infected with Covid-19.
The PCR tests were carried out on the entire campus on Thursday, December 24, and the result of one of them was positive, the mining club said in a statement.
“The information has already been delivered to the Seremi de Salud de la Región de Atacama, complying with all the corresponding health protocols“, Cobresal specified.
The infected case, asymptomatic and in good health, is isolated, complying with the relevant protocols indicated by the authorities.
Close contacts on the part of the person were also isolated and new PCR tests were taken.
Cobresal’s next game is this Monday, December 28, against Universidad de Chile in El Salvador, at 5:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. GMT).
