Jimena Velasco, who works as a home consultant in Santiago, is extremely concerned about the situation of the city where she lives, a few blocks from Parque de Los Reyes in the capital.

As she related to BioBioChile, in the community they have been watching him and they have left provisions at his door to help him. However, they have insisted that he go to the hospital for medical help, a situation to which he resists.
Therefore, the neighbors tried for several days to contact the Minsal. According to what he said, this Wednesday he received a response and they pointed out that they had no power to compel Eduardo to leave his home.
But what worries Jimena Velasco the most is the situation of the 12 adults and 2 children living in the city, as most of them have presented symptoms that could be associated with Covid-19.
She in particular says that she has had a headache and muscle pain for at least 7 days, while her partner has also been affected and is even in bed.
However, despite the possibility that an outbreak of contagions has been generated in the place, the health authority, according to what he claimed, has not come to his home to review the situation of them and their neighbors.
In response to BBCL’s inquiries, the Seremi de Salud of the Metropolitan region learned of the situation and indicated that they had not received any report related to this episode by any means.
However, they have already referred the case so that the respective Cesfam visits the place. “They should go this week or the other”, they said, because -as they explained- the revision is being defined by the population density of those infected; that is, where there are the most infected they are going first.
Jimena Velasco and her community, meanwhile, remain uneasy about their situation: “I don’t know what we are going to do, we are between a rock and a hard place,” he assured.
