NEW YEAR
- The curfew will begin at 02:00 hours on January 1, extending until 07:00 hours on January 1
- Mass events are prohibited from 8:00 p.m. on December 31 to 5:00 a.m. on January 2
- Establishment of sanitary cords from 6:00 p.m. on December 30 to 5:00 a.m. on January 2
The capacity allowed for December 31 and January 1, which will depend on the phase in which the commune is:
- Quarantined communes: only with the residents of the house
- Communes in Transition: maximum 15 people including residents
- Communes in Preparation: maximum 20 people including residents
- Communes in Initial Opening: maximum 30 people including residents
The Minister of Health, Enrique Paris, indicated that the entire country registered an increase of 19% in cases recording the last seven days, being Magallanes the only region that presented an improvement.
Paris referred to the new strain of coronavirus detected in the United Kingdom, stating that it is also detected through PCR tests and “It is a variant that has no evidence of being more clinically aggressive and does not affect the efficacy of vaccines either.”
