Three Chinese activists who helped publish the regime-censored articles on the coronavirus on Github, the world’s largest open source website, were detained by police in an unknown location.

China has faced criticism for its handling of the epidemic, including punishing specialists who tried to warn about the new virus.

Chen Mei, Cai Wei and his girlfriend with the last name Tang – who contributed to the GitHub software development platform project – went missing on April 19, according to Chen’s brother Chen Kun.

The volunteer-driven project called Terminus2049, preserved articles that were blocked or removed from the media and social media by China’s aggressive online censorship.

Two of the volunteers, Cai and Tang, were charged with “disturbing public order and causing trouble” and are currently under “residential surveillance in a designated location,” according to a notice from the Beijing Chaoyang District Police, received by their families.

Various governments and authorities around the world are suspicious of the reports of the Xi Jinping regime on the situation of the coronavirus in China and accuse him of having withheld information at the beginning of the outbreak in Wuhan instead of reporting the crisis immediately to prevent the spread of the virus that is already killed 200,000 people on the planet.

The National Health Commission of China said on Saturday that in the Asian country there are 49 patients in serious condition due to COVID-19, the lowest number since the end of January.
