With precautionary measures of national roots and suspension of the driver’s license, the former Carabineros sergeant, Víctor Medina Alarcón, was left, who at dawn this Saturday starred in a traffic accident in Chillán that caused the death of a resident of a home. The event occurred at the corner of Colchagua with the Chilean Antarctic of the Zañartu Population.
Carlos Aguilera Ortega, 37, who was sleeping in his home at the time of impact, died at the scene and was crushed by the wall and the vehicle driven by the now former Carabineros sergeant.
According to the examination carried out after the accident, the sergeant was driving his vehicle with 0.7 grams of alcohol in his blood, thus being a crime under the influence of alcohol, which is why he did not prove a preventive detention as explained and debated at the hearing held at the Chillán Guarantee Court.
This court finally determined that the former official be released, but with the precautionary measures of national roots and suspension of his driver’s license for the duration of the investigation.
