Chilean actor and director Nissim Sharim | He died this Thursday at the age of 88.
The news was confirmed by the Teatro a Mil foundation, where they highlighted their trajectory of more than six decades.
“With great sadness we fired a great Chilean theater, #NissimSharim. With a trajectory of more than 60 years, it was a fundamental part of the Ictus Theater, where it contributed from the stage to resist dark periods of our history with theater. We hug family and friends, ”they wrote on Twitter.
Sharim was director of the Ictus Theater, and also part of the board of directors of Televisión Nacional de Chile between 2000 and 2004. He was also a staunch opponent of the military dictatorship.
In the 1970s he participated in the comedy program “La Manivela” and later worked in numerous plays and films.
But without a doubt, his face became more familiar from the 80’s when he was the face of an advertising campaign for Banco de Santiago with the actress Delfina Guzmán, which made him be recognized for years with the character of “Perico” (the classic “Buy a car Perico”).
Nissim Sharim is the father of the well-known stage and television actress Paula Sharim.
