The Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported this Saturday that in the last 24 hours there were 2,033 new cases of covid-19 infections.
Of these, 1,330 are symptomatic and 645 have no symptoms.
“In addition, 58 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified,” added Minsal through a statement.
The total number of people diagnosed with coronavirus in the country reaches 408,009. Of that total, 15,645 are in the active stage of the virus.
The recovered cases, meanwhile, are 381,183.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours 49 deaths were registered for causes associated with covid-19.
“The total number of deceased amounts to 11,181 in the country, “said Minsal.
To the date, 959 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 708 are on mechanical ventilation support and 131 are in critical health.
With regard to the Integrated Health Network, the Ministry of Health indicated that “there is a total of 561 ventilators available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.”
Regarding the Laboratory Network and the diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 32,237 PCR tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 2,365,753 test analyzed at the national level.
