This Saturday the Ministry of Health (Minsal) – in the voice of the undersecretaries Paula Daza and Arturo Zúñiga – released a new balance of the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
In the last 24 hours they were confirmed 2,109 new cases of infections, of which 1,458 are symptomatic and 594 are asymptomatic
With this, the total number of people in the country who suffer and suffered covid-19 rises 455,979.
Of them, 13,129 qualify as assets.
In parallel, the number of recovered patients, according to Minsal, is 430,259.
The authorities also detailed that in the last hours 64 people lost their lives because of the disease. The total number of deaths nationwide is 12,591.
At the moment, 895 patients for covid-19 remain hospitalized, of which 653 are connected to mechanical ventilation.
Of this total of patients, 135 are diagnosed with critical condition.
Finally, the Minsal authorities commented that since the pandemic began to spread in Chile they have applied 3,189,009 PCR tests.
