Child pornography: PDI disrupts network in the Valparaíso region and that it operated on the “deep web”

The Cybercrime Investigation Brigade of the Valparaíso Investigative Police arrested two people for the crime of acquiring and storing child pornographic material, in police operations carried out in Limache and Viña del Mar.

The PDI, based on an order to investigate, carried out various procedures in order to identify and detain the members of the network who used a messaging platform on the “deep web”, from where they downloaded it and shared it in forums with foreigners.

According to what was reported by the head of the Valparaíso Cybercrime, Subprefect Christian Barrientos, one of the detainees had a record in Canada for this same crime, information that was channeled by OCN Interpol.

The accused, CEVI (34) domiciled in Limache, and FAPP (35), residing in the Santa Inés sector, were made available to the Viña del Mar Guarantee Court, for the respective stop control.
