“I am very grateful that you have invited me to be with you during the celebration of the National Holidays, this time celebrating from home and I hope that you take good care of yourself,” said the Puerto Rican.
“We are all experiencing difficult times and we must become aware and understand that if we take care of ourselves, we are taking care of others and helping to reduce the pandemic,” he added.
“But there is a sector of the population that is especially vulnerable, the elderly, who are very affected because they are not only isolated, they are also alone,” he said.
“From the bottom of my heart I join the cause for their good, and I call for solidarity. Let’s reach out to older adults so that they can have access to their basic needs for food, medical care, so that they have hope, “he said.
