Chadwick boseman won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in Drama for his role in the film ‘Ma Rainey’s black butt’, where he shared the screen with actress Viola Davis. Boseman unfortunately passed away on August 28, 2020, due to cancer.

Boseman, known for playing the Marvel superhero ‘Black Panther’, won for his portrayal of the trumpeter in the band ‘Ma’ (Viola Davis), in a film that tells the story of popular blues singer Ma Rainey and her band during a tense recording session.
The tape was distributed by Netflix and both the audience and the critics in general, praised the performances of Davis and Boseman.
During the award ceremony, his widow, Taylor simone ledward, received the award online, with an emotional speech where he highlighted his phrase “my love, you did it.”
His health conditions were revealed on the day of his death, where it was learned that the actor had been fighting cancer since 2016, but that for personal reasons, he decided to keep it a secret.
