A Carabineros officer died this Sunday night in a traffic accident on Route 5 Sur, near Longaví.
The policeman, identified as lieutenant Ricardo Arriagada and commissioner of the Ninth Police Station of the National Congress, he was driving the vehicle from south to north when after 10:00 p.m. it hit horses that were on the road at high speed, at kilometer 308 of the route, which corresponds to the sector of Miraflores.
His wife, daughter and two other minors aged 10 and 12 were also traveling in the vehicle, resulting in injuries of varying degrees, except his daughter María Ignacia Arriagada, aspiring officer of the First Squadron of the School of Carabineros, who she had to be referred to the Linares Hospital with life-threatening product of injuries.
