Carabineros arrested 14 people on Tuesday accused of participating in the millionaire robbery of the securities transport company Esertval, occurred on September 18, 2017, including two security guards.
In this crime, considered as the new “heist of the century”, the antisocials stole a total of 15,954 million pesos from the company located in the commune of Independencia.
During this day, different raids were carried out in the Metropolitan Region and also in other regions of the country, seizing 100 vehicles that were acquired with the money from this robbery.

The Minister of the Interior, Rodrigo Delgado, valued the work of Carabineros in conjunction with the North Central Prosecutor’s Office, since “It was determined, after 20 raids, who were the people responsible for the ‘robbery of the century'”.
“We are talking about 14 detained people who are going to have to respond to the Justice regarding this great robbery that occurred three years ago,” said the chief of staff.
“In this case, Justice is coming”, he claimed.
