A Carabineros official who was in civilian clothes on Tuesday night managed to thwart an attempted robbery in the El Bosque commune in the Metropolitan region, using a legally registered firearm.
The incident took place at around 9:20 p.m. this Tuesday, on the central avenue street of El Bosque, when the Carabineros official kept his son’s vehicle at home, at which time he was intercepted by three subjects who were traveling two cars.
In that instant, the policeman threw the keys to his son’s car to an adjoining roof and shot at the three assailants who also used weapons, although it is still unknown if they were blank, so after the shooting, the criminals fled the scene.
For now It is unknown if any of the assailants were injured.or, therefore, the capital’s health centers were alerted about this procedure, to report in the event that a suspect arrives wounded by a bullet.
After the incident, the prosecutor on duty determined that the Robbery Brigade and the Criminalistics Laboratory of the Investigative Police (PDI) carry out the rigorous tests in the place.
