A woman denounced her ex-partner, a policeman on duty, having tried to burn down his vehicle and house in Los Angeles, in the Bío Bío region. The Public Ministry affirmed that the institution did not report that the Defendant is an active official.
The incident occurred at dawn on Saturday when, according to the victim’s account, her ex-husband, a first sergeant of the Carabineros of the Lago Ranco Police Station in the Los Ríos region, He entered his home, located in the south sector of Los Angeles, with the intention of burning the house.
In conversation with Radio Bío Bío, the victim assured that the man stole the keys to the gate lock, which allowed him to enter the property to commit the act. In his view, the intention of the attack was kill her while she slept with her three minor children.
The woman affirmed that the person responsible is her ex-husband, since when she looked out the window she saw him flee the place, so she left the house to put out the flames in the car with the support of her neighbors. A situation that generated burns on her hair.
The Minister for Women and Gender Equity in Bío Bío, Marissa Barro, condemned what happened and said that she contacted the victim to provide the necessary support.
The Public Ministry indicated that the police who adopted the complaint for the car fire did not inform the prosecutor on duty that the accused is an active official of the institution, for which the proceedings were ordered to the Criminal Investigation Brigade – Bicrim- of the PDI of Los Angeles.
The victim, meanwhile, was left with protection measures.
It should be noted that Radio Bío Bío tried to hear a statement from the Carabineros, a request that has not been answered so far.
