This week’s Cadem poll claims that no presidential letter shows leadership that stands out from the rest, with the mayor of Recoleta, Daniel Jadue (PDC) leading with 7% of spontaneous mentions, followed by several figures from Chile Vamos.
The mayor of Las Condes, Joaquin Lavin (UDI), the mayor of Providencia, Evelyn matthei (UDI) and the former president of Banco Estado, Sebastian Sichel, 5% second to Jadue in the question about who he would like to be the next president of the country.
Further back appear the deputy of the Humanist Party, Pamela Jiles and the former deputy José Antonio Kast. While a series of names such as Michelle Bachelet, Mario Desbordes, Franco Parisi, Izkia Siches, Felipe Kast and Heraldo Muñoz, all with 1% of the mentions.
Regarding the query about who they think will be the next question, the survey is still led by Joaquín Lavín, who has fallen in the intention to vote -from 10% to 5% in two months- with 13% of those consulted think that he will be the next president.

Valuable consultation
This week’s Cadem poll also included a series of questions on value issues, with 74% saying they agree with “That homosexual couples have the right to marry” and the “abortion law on three grounds: non-viability, risk of the mother’s life and rape.”
They also have a high approval, other value issues such as “euthanasia” (72%), “that a person of legal age can change their gender identity only once” (67%), “That homosexual couples have the right to adopt a child ”(61%) and“ that minors, but with the authorization of their parents, can change their gender identity ”(58%).
With less support other value situations appear such as “sexual relations between adolescents ”(50%),“ legalize recreational marijuana use for those over 18 years of age ”(47%) and“ that a person make the decision to commit suicide ”(24%).
Piñera’s approval
Cadem also consults on the situation of the current president Sebastián Piñera, who according to the survey has an approval of 17%, while 70% disapprove and 7% neither approve nor disapprove.
Regarding the management of the coronavirus, 37% approve of the work that the Government has done during the covid-19 pandemic, while 64% say they are worried or very concerned about catching this disease.
