Clemente Pérez, the former president of the Metro and widely known by the phrase “Cabros, this did not turn on ” confirmed that he will run as a candidate constituent for the writing of a new Constitution.
Through his Twitter account, he reported that he will go as an independent for district 8, that is to say, through Maipú, Estación Central, Cerrillos, Quilicura, Lampa, Pudahuel, Colina and Til Til.
As specified by the former Undersecretary of Public Works between 2003 and 2005, “the plebiscite left me great joy; but also, a feeling of responsibility. I want to contribute and work for a Constitution that is loved and respected by everyone ”.
Pérez received a series of questions in the context of the evasions of the secondary in the Metro, which later led to the social outbreak.
This, because when asked about the demonstrations, he responded in an interview that “goats, this did not turn on. They are no more choros, they have not won the support of the population ”.
In the video of his campaign he refers to the above, specifying that “a year ago, when the evasions began and many students jumped the turnstiles, I opposed it, saying: ‘Cabros, this did not turn on’. I was wrong half to half ”.
“I didn’t see it coming, I admit it. It is not violence but the peaceful march of more than a million young people after the outbreak and the vote of millions of people in the recent plebiscite, ”he continued.
I made the decision to be an independent candidate for the #Constitutional Convention by district 8.
