Finnish Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) won this Sunday the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi, tenth round of the season, while his British partner World Cup leader Lewis Hamilton had to settle for third place, behind Dutchman Max Verstappen (Redbull).

The Briton, penalized ten seconds before the start, must therefore wait to match Michael Schumacher’s record of victories (91), which could occur at the next German Grand Prix, in the country of the seven-time world champion.

Hamilton received two five-second penalties for rehearsing the start, shortly before the start of the Grand Prix, in a dangerous and unauthorized area.

Thanks to Bottas’ second win this year, the ‘Silver Arrows’, black this season, they remain undefeated on the circuit drawn in the city that hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics.
