The body of a 60-year-old man was found semi-submerged in the Calle Calle River, near the Estación de Valdivia sector.
In the first instance, it was Carabineros who confirmed this finding on the banks of the Calle Calle River, this at the height of Arturo Prat Avenue with the Mexico passage, on the Valdivian waterfront.
The foregoing was reported to the prosecutor José Rivas, who explained that it was a 60-year-old man, a corpse for which he requested the attendance of the Homicide Brigade to carry out the rigorous expert reports.
In the place, after the work carried out around the body, the Commissioner of the Homicide Brigade of the PDI of Valdivia, Juan Morales, ruled out in the first instance the participation of third parties, establishing as a probable cause of death suffocation by submersion.
Meanwhile, the body was removed by the Legal Medical Service, which after the rigorous autopsy, could determine the definitive cause of death of the 60-year-old man. The identity of the deceased is unknown.
