This Friday the Ministry of Health released a new report on the covid-19 pandemic that our country is facing, highlighting the complicated stage facing the Bío Bío region.
According to the official figures of the Minsal, during the last day confirmed 1,570 new infected with coronavirus nationwide, of which 1,014 presented associated symptoms.
The Metropolitan and Bío Bío regions lead the new infections with 331 new cases eachHowever, the positivity (CRP) of the first is 2%, while in the second it reaches a worrying 7%.
The confirmed cases this day in the Bío Bío correspond to 15.6 per 100 thousand inhabitants, while in the RM they are only 3.5.
In third place appears the region of La Araucanía with 173 new infections (15.4 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants), leaving the region of Los Lagos in fourth place with 162 cases detected in the last 24 hours (19.1 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants).
Further back, with 100 new cases, appears the region of Los Ríos (21.7 per 100,000 inhabitants) and then that of Magallanes with 99 confirmed in the last day (45.6 per 100,000 inhabitants).
In addition, it was reported that the number of new deaths due to covid-19 in our country – during the last 24 hours – was 43 people.
