Basaksehir Istanbul withdrew from the match against PSG in the Champions League, then a member of the coaching staff of the Turkish team will accuse that received a racist insult from the fourth official.

The incident occurred when the quarter hour of the game was completed, with both teams equalized without goals. Romanian referee Ovidiu Alin Hategan charged a foul in favor of PSG and the technical assistant of the Turkish team, the Cameroonian Pierre Webo, protested excitedly.

At that moment, Sebastian Colţescu, fourth official, informed the referee of the situation and said “it was the black one”, in reference to Webo, who claimed for the use of the word, which in the French and English language has a derogatory and racist charge.

Due to the situation, the entire Basaksehir bench began to protest, the players joining in, despite the fact that the fourth official defended himself, pointing out that in their language saying “black” does not have a racist connotation.

Faced with the controversy, and despite the intervention of the UEFA delegate, the Basaksehir players withdrew, and those of PSG, in solidarity, joined the decision.

The game, at the moment, has not yet been officially suspended. In social networks, Basaksehir reported that his players are still in the dressing room.
