On Friday night, La Moneda reported that the Minister of Defense, Baldo Prokurica, will take over from the Minister of the Interior, Rodrigo Delgado.
The latter, after Delgado was informed during the day regarding of its contagion with covid-19.
By means of a statement, it was stated that “the President of the Republic, Sebastián Piñera, has designated today, March 12, 2021, the current Minister of Defense, Baldo Prokurica, as substitute Minister of the Interior and Public Security.”
“Minister Prokurica will replace Rodrigo Delgado while your quarantine lasts, product of having contracted the covid-19 virus ″, adds the letter.
Delgado has been at his home since Thursday night. After confirming the test, “the proper quarantine began,” they said from the Interior portfolio.
Likewise, Héctor Espinosa, Director General of the PDI, was confirmed as close contact of Minister Delgado.
In that sense, according to information confirmed by Radio Bío Bío, the undersecretary of the Interior, Juan Francisco Galli, would be in close contact, so he must initiate a preventive quarantine.
