Balance: 54 arrested for not respecting the first day of quarantine at Central Station

A total of 54 people detained Carabineros for not complying with the quarantine decreed by the Health authorities in the commune of Estación Central, in the Metropolitan Region.

The balance of the first day of application of the sanitary measure was made by Major José Vielma, Operational Chief of the 21 Police Station of that commune, who indicated that all the detainees did not have any role that authorized them to transit through that area of ​​the capital .

He added that “we have arranged six controls in the commune to control people who want to enter or leave the limits set for quarantine.”

The same indicated that there is a drop in the flow of people in the bus terminals, which have operated between 15% and 30% of their capacity.

Amid the control of the quarantine offenders, Major Vielma explained that two people associated with a crime of robbery from an uninhabited place were also arrested.

In this regard, the officer stated that since April 1 the uniformed police have carried out 60,000 identity checks, especially at the bus terminals.

And, in this context, more than 200 people were apprehended with pending arrest warrants.
